Housekeeping: Important Notices
An update on the current season with regards to set up, team fees, formats and changes to the original planned schedule.
Firstly thanks to all teams for their patience and understanding with regards to schedule this season. It was a difficult start to the league season but I'm sure the most important thing is we are back playing pool again.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: 3 Alley Seoul withdraw
Championship B has had an early withdrawal, the legendary 3 Alley Seoul is no more. We have worked hard and have found a team to replace them. JR Pub the Fire will join the league from Wednesday in Championship B. They will follow 3 Alley Seoul's original schedule and unfortunately that does cause a few clashes. This Wednesday's fixture at home to King Pub Seoul will now be played at King Pub. There are clashes in week 11 and 19 but I will advise the 2 teams (Fat Albert's Scandal and JR BBQ Smokin' Aces) it affects ahead of those matches.
TEAM FEES:
All team fees should be paid by this Wednesday, July 20th. I will be messaging reminders to captains whose teams have outstanding debts and advising them on the best way to swell the coffers of the IPL.

Organisational Meeting For Summer/Fall 2016 Season
The new season's organisational meeting will take place this Wednesday, June 29th, at Dolce Vita beginning at 7:30pm.
All teams need to supply a name, supporting bar, full contact details and 100,000won deposit.
We will discuss the organisation of the new season and there will be a few proposals to vote on.
There are a number of bars throughout Itaewon who are still looking for teams for the upcoming season. Players who wish to form a new team could do worse than contact Upper Deck, Bulldog and maybe 3 Alley Seoul or King Pub to check availability.

New Season - First Week
Welcome to the IPL Summer/Fall 2016 Season
Firstly, apologies for the delay in getting a schedule together. As some will know, it has been a very trying time putting a program together and trying to accommodate all the caveats and stipulations we have created for ourselves over the years. The perfect schedule has proved to be impossible but we do have a solution which will keep most teams satisfied. We appeal for your understanding and patience as we are not computers and most of this was done by hand. I will go around the stadiums on Wednesday night and explain the problems in full and try to placate teams who have issues.
The most important thing to remember is that we have some pool to play. That being said, the first week's fixtures are as follows:

The Banquet and Final Results
Next Friday, June 24th, we will celebrate the end of the IPL Winter/Spring 2016 by having our traditional banquet. Prizes will be awarded, platitudes will be expressed and alcohol will be consumed.
All league members who have competed in 3 separate matches this past season are welcome to join us free of charge. Those who have played in one or two matches can enter for 15,000won and members can bring guests at a cost of 30,000won per head.

There will be an opportunity to sign up for the new season early at the banquet too. Teams can pay a deposit of 100,000won to register for next season.
The finals took place last Wednesday and Scrooge Pub Phoenix eventually took their maiden crown by defeating the resilient Wonky Triangles 8-5. The standard was very high and included 4 special games and Phoenix celebrated by drinking the pub dry...of coke :) Boomtown Rats salvaged some pride, as defending champions, by shooting down the luckless Angry Birds. If only the Angry Birds could play Potato every week!
In the B Championship, Banana Scrubbers felt the Pain by losing the last four frames as JJ's team took the title 8-6. Once again the place for drama was Sin Bin (3 playoff games at that venue all ended 8-7) as Tomato did their best to lose by throwing away a 7-2 lead before taking the final game.
Zzyzx simply strolled to victory in Championship C and taught Dolce that Life wasn't so Sweet. Ballistics simply destroyed Runners in the 3rd place playoff.
Thanks to all teams, and especially the captains, for making this season memorable and, above all, very competitive. Congratulations to all the winners and commiserations to the others (losers sounds too harsh). See you at the banquet.
