Important Dates for the Summer/Fall 2014 Season
Here are the dates that you need to be aware of for this season:
Wednesday, July 30th - deadline to have all team dues paid
Saturday, September 20th - Mid-season double-elimination singles trophy tournament
Sunday, September 21st - Mid-season captains' meeting
Saturday, September 27th - Mid-season double-elimination blind draw doubles money tournament
Wednesday, November 26th - last regular season matches
Sunday, November 30th; Wednesday, December 3rd; Sunday, December 7th; Wednesday, December 10th - Playoffs
Saturday, December 13th - End-of-season double-elimination singles money tournament
Friday, December 19th - End-of-season banquet

Dewey Song Family Fund Tournament
There will be a fundraising tournament for the widow and son of Dewey Song on Saturday, July 5th.
Registration will be at Sin Bin from 3:00 to 3:45, tournament starts at 4:00 and will be played at Sin Bin and Bulldog.
10,000 won entry fee. Double elimination tournament. Type of tournament will be determined by the number of players. If enough players register, it will be a blind-draw scotch-doubles tournament. If the numbers are small, it will be a singles tournament.
This is not an IPL tournament, so ratings will not be affected. The sole purpose of this tournament is to raise money for Dewey Song's widow and young son, therefore no prizes will be paid out to winners.
There will also be a donation box available at the bars, if someone is so inclined to donate additional money (The Shenanigans Boomtown Rats and the Shenanigans team have combined to donate 220,000 won, so I challenge other teams to match that sum).
Sin Bin will be donating 500 won per beer and house doubles bought by tournament players, as well.

Summer/Fall 2014 Season Organizational Meeting
Wednesday, July 9th, 7 pm at Shenanigans.
All teams that want to join the league need to have a representative present at the meeting, and must bring 100,000 won as a registration deposit.
Season starts Wednesday, July 16th.

Dewey Song family fund
Sad news for the IPL. Dewey Song, one of the original members of the IPL, and consistently one of the top ranked players died of a stroke June 23rd while at the hospital for his dialysis treatment.
Services were held for him on the 23rd and 24th of June.
Dewey is survived by a wife and a young son. As you all know, the death of a spouse or a parent is a heart-breaking thing. It can also cause quite a financial burden for the surviving members of the family. With this in mind, the Itaewon Pool League (after consulting with the team captains) was happy to give the banquet raffle ticket proceeds to Dewey's widow and son (850,000 won). We would like to raise some more money for this family of one of our own. Therefore, we are providing two accounts for people to be able to contribute to this cause.
